Aprovecha – back to basics culinary education will prepare a luscious fall tasting menu showcasing the Colorado harvest. They will be discussing varieties of squashes and other seasonal ingredients, how to use them and pair them with Ciatano’s premium Colorado wines. Recipes and resources on where to find these tasty treasures will be included.

New Wine Release: 2006 Cabernet Franc – Just as Good as 2005!

We are proud to announce the release of the 2006 Cabernet Franc! The 2005 was very popular and one of our best selling wines in 2009 and the 2006 does not disappoint.
Our Cabernet Franc is made from Colorado home grown Cab Franc grapes – the Colorado climate is ideally suited for growing exceptional Cab Franc grapes, with deep fruit concentrates. A smooth medium to full bodied, dry, deep red wine with hints of blackberry and blackcurrant aromas with a black cherry and chocolate compliment (reminiscent of black forest gateaux!) with a slight earthy finish. It is an excellent compliment to hearty fall style suppers and dinners.

Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and treat yourselves, customers or friends to a picnic in our beautiful grounds by the river in the canyon 3 miles west of Lyons. Come and enjoy a wine tasting, choose a bottle of wine and fill one of our cute picnic baskets with deli meats, cheeses, smoked trout and crackers. We’ll even supply the weather resistant picnic blanket, or picnic at one of our many picnic tables. We are open 10-6pm everyday through summer.

Rosata is finally here!

All of you who have been patiently waiting for the release of our popular Rosata, your wait is over.
We have plenty of bottles available for the year and will be able to start shipping quantities shortly. Please email us at wineclubmanager@ciatanowinery.com to place an order for shipment or just drop by the wine tasting room by the river to try our new Rosata and take some home.
The Rosata is a white merlot, medium sweetness and very smooth and silky, with aromas od strawberry and cherries. A lovely summer wine! Belisimo!

Welcome!
Hi, my name is Karen Bennett and I’m the Wine Club Manager for Ciatano Winery located on beautiful, peaceful grounds along side the N St Vrain river 3 miles west of Lyons Colorado, just off Hwy 36 on the way to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.
Ciatano Winery is a boutique, small yet growing winery in Lyons, Colorado making Italian style wines on site for sale in our wine tasting rooms both at the winery and during the summer months, at the Lyons Farmers Market every Saturday where our other wine tasting room is in the Old Dynamite Shack.
We recently started our own wine club to help spread the word and allow visitors at our winery, to continue to enjoy our wines once home too, with discounts on all wine club orders. It is free to join. (More later.) We are currently setting up direct shipping to more and more states.
I will be blogging regularly here to update our friends and fellow wine lovers on wine club tasting events, promotionals and Ciatano Winery events such as dinners, wine tasting groups, seminars, music and wedding planning. We’ll also announce new wine releases and importantly, news of new states we can ship to as they come on board (new ones every month!) So even if we don’t ship to your state yet, subscribe to our blog or email newsletter, and we’ll alert you when we do.
